(IJA,idahojapaneseassociation.org) announced a cultural fund raising event,Akira Kurosawa Film Fest at Flicks (646 Fulton St., Boise, ID 83702), to be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 andThursday, August 5, 2010. Each Thursday, no host reception will be held from 6 PM and thefilm screening will start from 7 PM. This is to commemorate the 100th year of Akira Kurosawa’sbirth. Kurosawa (1910-1998) is a world-renowned Japanese movie director of the 20th century.He won numerous film awards in his career and many of his films were remade in Hollywoodand others.
