Akira Kurosawa Film Fest 

A non-profit corporation, Idaho Japanese Association, Inc. (IJA,
idahojapaneseassociation.org) announced a cultural fund raising event,
Akira Kurosawa Film Fest at Flicks (646 Fulton St., Boise, ID 83702), to be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 and
Thursday, August 5, 2010. Each Thursday, no host reception will be held from 6 PM and the
film screening will start from 7 PM. This is to commemorate the 100th year of Akira Kurosawa’s
birth. Kurosawa (1910-1998) is a world-renowned Japanese movie director of the 20th century.
He won numerous film awards in his career and many of his films were remade in Hollywood
and others. The screening schedule is, THE HIDDEN FORTRESS (1958, 139 min) on July 29,
and IKIRU (1952, 143 min) on August 5. For more information, visit
