10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Boise Public Library invites children ages 3-5 years old to bring their parents to a series of five free Get Your Child Ready for Kindergarten classes at the Main Library or at the Library! at Cole and Ustick.  Parents will receive hands-on experience in getting children ready for reading.  Registration is required.

Families may choose from four 5-week sessions.  The Main Library, located in downtown Boise at 715 S. Capitol Boulevard, will offer the series in the Hayes Auditorium on the following dates:
·         Thursdays: January 21-February 18, 7-8 p.m.; or
·         Thursdays: April 15-May 13, 7-8 p.m.; or
·         Saturdays: April 17-May 15, 10-11 a.m.

The Library! at Cole & Ustick, located at 7557 W. Ustick Road in the Library Plaza, will also offer a 5-week session in its Sagebrush Room:
·         Saturdays: January 23-February 20, 10-11 a.m.

The classes are designed to help children and parents learn and practice six early literacy skills that help to prepare children for reading success in school.  Families will receive a free childrens book at each of the five classes, and will learn about other early literacy resources found in local public libraries.

To register for the classes or for more information, call 384-4200 or visit the Childrens Area at the Main Library.  More information is also available at
